I need the Best option for Ecommerce platform with over 20,000 products

    I currently have an e-commerce site that is hosting over 20,000 products and i have at least 20,000 more to upload. I am currently using magento. It is very slow and i have my own dedictated Server.. is there a better ecommerce platform? or what to do?

    May be still hostgator is the best choice and i am running my rightshop site on there with out any problem.Hope you could also works fine.

    I agree it's most likely something to do with the hardware setup it's hosted on. There's a number of factors that could contribute to this as well. What sort of hosting setup is it on now?

    Find out what the server specs are. Maybe ask the guy that designed your site to upgrade your server.

    The industry leaders seem to be BIGcommerce and Magento. I have not yet worked with Shopify, but it too seems to be promising.

    If you are already handling above 20,000 products and its not working fine, then imagine what will happen when you have to upload another 20,000. I think you should go for some better ecommerce platform. Maybe you should try something like cart2mobile. Its very easy to use and does not require investment for maintenance.
