    3. Pay and Get Traffic is offense
    4. Copying content
    5. Lots of 404 errors

    the main problem is 404 error, solution is redirect that pages to category or home page,
    you can fine those page on google webmaster tool

    Poor quality of content, Black hat techniques, spamming, keywords stuffing, poor internal linking, avoid such things to save yourself from penalized.

    I wish there was a easy way to answer this question for you. It's really difficult because the Google search engine has a tendency to make constant upgrades and adjustments every few months. An action that may be acceptable at this moment in time may not be acceptable at some point in the future. The only recommendation I can give you is to constantly do your own research. I know it's frustrating at times, but constantly keep educating yourself. In my humble opinion, it's best to stop allowing Google to control you. There are other inexpensive ways to get massive amounts of traffic. I'm not an avid fan of pay per click but safe lists are really good option. Not to mention, they are very inexpensive.     one of the biggest waste be penalized by Google is duplicate content for Seo purposes. You'll be penalized because the duplicate content will not count toward your search engine rankings.
