How do you know you are penalized by google

What are the indications that you are being penalized by google?

Check Google Cache from Google Toolbar. Second check in google that how many pages google crawled. If your home page is not showing in the pages result. That's means your site is out of Google Index.

 

i tried it but its showing my page. i happen to ask this because my site was shown in google first page before given this particular keyword but now its showing on the 6th pages.

 

I think your SERP will be dropped.
in some cases you will see an alert in the webmaster tool.

 

* Avoid hidden text or hidden links.
* Don't employ cloaking or sneaky redirects.
* Don't send automated queries to Google.
* Don't load pages with irrelevant words.
* Don't create multiple pages, subdomains, or domains with substantially duplicate content.
* Avoid "doorway" pages created just for search engines, or other "cookie cutter" approaches such as affiliate programs with little or no original content.

what about sites that increase traffic exchange like hitleap[.]com and easyhits etc. are those okay with google?

That means you rankings only dropped. You were not penalized by Google at all. Just continue doing quality link building, you'll get back your rankings

 

Going from page 1 to page 6 sounds less like a Google penalty and more like Google is giving your inbound links less weight.

 

It is possible that some of your backlinks were removed, usually if some high PR backlinks are dropped then to your site will go down in SERPS

Also make sure your site has good uptime, if google crawler has trouble crawling your site then too it drops in SERP

I think by checking Google Webmaster Tool.

 

Google Webmasters will displays this information...They have to contact with their webmaster tool.

 

If google penalize a site whether it would release after some days or won't?

 

i saw that my site has a lot of error on goolge crawler, the idea is that a lot of spammers are flooding my site, so i need to delete their "ads". is it possible to delete the sitemap.xml index then resubmit a new one?
