Can you please guide me with an alternative of buying links?

recently its been found that google is penalising the sites which are caught generating unnatural links. Google warns once or twice and if you dont listen and remove those unnatural links; you face a major drop in ranking or you may face google penalty.

Please help me with new ideas for doing white hat SEO because paid links are not worth anymore.

Generate only on relevant sites and also placing relevant links . In your sites article should b unique and original.i think it will b help full for you.
