    Most people focus on Google PR when buying a domain. Google PR intimates links from high-PR sites and Alexa hints of incoming traffic but it is not reliable as it is used mostly in Northern America.

    Alexa doesn't really matter unless you are trying to prove traffic. Most people buying domains will care mostly about the actual domain :)

    It doesn't really matter what the alexa rank is, when it comes to seling a website, traffic is the most important thing i've found.

    No it doesnt matter about google ranking. Its what people look at that are buying websites to help determine the popularity. It isnt accurate though because traffic can be faked.

    Alexa traffic is also not reliable, while buying domain, people focus on page rank. However, I want to assure you that Alexa ranking and traffic stats have lost its authenticity to the SEOs all over world. If you know how Alexa collects data about your site, you will know the reason behind this. Alexa collects the traffic data about your site from the Alexa toolbar installed in the machine of the visitor. So even if a visitor visits your site but he does not have Alexa toolbar installed in his
    PC, he won't be registered as a visitor to your site to Alexa. So in a particular day, if 100 people visits your site but they don't have Alexa toolbar, Alexa will still show "zero" visitors on that day.

    If you want to sell the website then people generally look for the Alexa as it tells how much traffic your site is getting.And no one wants to buy some site where no one visits.

    Alexa rank is depend on the traffic of your site, good traffic can increase your alexa rank. But i think it has no matter.
