    I have gotten a pre-launch version and it very fast, i think they did alot of kernel changes again. The startup procedure is now semi-kernel based.

    Microsoft's Windows 8 is specially designed and developed for touch screen gadgets viz. Tablet PC. However, Desktop and Laptop users could also use it but with much less user interaction and less functionality.

    windows 8, its worse than windows 7!

    they made the graphics worse! they removed the start button! they added a default UI that only makes sense on tablets! i cant find the shut down button! where are all the settings gone?

    You can't buy Windows 8, it is not officially released. The Beta Versions are released first for testing purposes. From these test they fix or patch the issues it is having. Currently they are having some issues with the Hard Drive format they are using and working the bugs out. It's not ready for consumer use. The official release is projected for 2011 about the middle of the year. My unofficial sources have told me that it is MAC programmers are helping design this operating system and Microsoft is the company who hires the most MAC programmers than an other company.

    I think it will be good after 26 october. Because at now it is trail. But I think it is faster than windows 7 and the others. So we can use it.

    I used it on my laptop....I dunno its feel weird...It's def made for tables...as for a desktop..I would not use it....
