Did you give it a title and keywords that are search engine friendly and relevant to the topic of your video?

 

Create videos that are share-worthy and repeat-view-worthy.

 

What would you recommend for a good title and keywords ?

 

Use google adwords to see what are the best keywords for the video and create your title around that. I Also would be a good idea to write a descriptive description of the video using these keywords.

 

Add relevant and high searched Keywords in your tags of the video. Use proper formatting for the video.
Submit the link to websites like enchanceviews or vagex to get millions of views. Promote on blogs and similar websites.

 

Give it similar tags to other related videos that are popular. That way it will show up in the recommended videos. Also make sure the video is as high quality as it can be

 

Stumbleupon is a nice method

 

add hot tags to your videos title, description, add the link to other sites

 

I use this method, it works really well

#1) Make sure your video has the EXACT keyword that you're trying to rank for in the title of the video

#2) Make sure you use your keyword in your video tags, along with any other related keywords you want to rank for

NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU USE THEM IN "QUOTES"

Otherwise, youtube will automatically use the individual words instead of the actual phrase itself. You want to rank for the keyword phrase, not the individual words in the phrase (though it will help you do that as well).

Try to focus on only 1 or 2 keywords per video at most, it helps if they're related too.

#3) Make sure your keyword is the VERY FIRST THING in your description box followed by your URL right after it with the "http" right in front of it so that your link is clickable

These are the 3 MOST IMPORTANT STEPS to getting your videos ranked on the first page of YouTube and Google.

There's other neat tips and tricks to better optimize your videos but these 3 things alone will literally put you ahead of 99% of videos.
