Facebook comments - usefulness for SEO

I'm interested - does Google percieve Facebook comments (standard faceboko plugin) as site's update?
For example, WP blogs very often use facebook comments - are they important because of pages updating through users comments?

 

Nope. Nothing related to facebook page, comments, or posts are useful for SEO. According to me they are quite futile from SEOs perspective and therefore hold no value except for the fact that users of blog or site get an idea that the topics are well read and commented.

 

So such comments completely aren't indexed by google?

 

Facebook comments, I don't say any use of it as long as they did not visit your site their comments and their likes are void.

Sounding strange to me. I don't think it has an impact on SEO but yes if people finding your comment beneficial then if you have linked your comment with useful link then you can get your traffic diverted. that's it and not more than that

 

Comment on any article or any post using facebook login helps to get traffic it share your post on their wall, who comments on your post.

Look at the source code of the page. I don't use FB comments personally so couldn't tell you. If the comments can be found in the source code, google will consider it as content on the page, and it can help with SEO and getting discovered for long tail traffic.
