    Yup, and you have to pay money to post ads, where DigitalPoint is free to post an ad. DigitalPoint is still better.

    I can only see really big forums mentioned here which apparently are good for posting. There are some smaller forums which are worth posting at, not because of the SEO gain but because of the traffic gain. Smaller forums tend to have tighter-knitted communities and are more likely to look at peoples' signatures and possibly even check them out to be interested in the site(s) you're advertising inside.
