That's funny because my site has only 200 pages, but there's 4000+ indexed. Google is indexing all my tags, categories, sub categories and inner pages even though I have them all on NoFollow! LOL

It definitely is somewhat common to not see all of the pages of a forum site to index right away. You have to allow for several months in some cases.. Be patient

As I think, You can try to make new sitemap.xml for all pages, than re-submit sitemap.xml into the google webmasters. After all process done, you can try to do some submission.

I think you just have to wait for Google to do its work. It takes time.

For indexing you should well prepared your sitemap, and it will take some time. I think forum is a hot discussion platform and there happen a lot of updates with in hours. Therefore you should concentrate for on page work you will definitely get good results.

If your website is new or fresh. Google take more time for indexing of all pages. Google crawler is crawl fresh website step by step. So, wait & watch and continues your offpage work. Sure your whole website is crawl in sometimes.

    Hello,

I have the same problem before. I used some pages for testing again and again. I may finally found out the main reason. I found out that all pages that are 3rd click from the homepage could not be indexed. However when I re-arranged the pages to 2nd click from the homepage, most pages got indexed.

Since most of my websites have a lot of pages, this is really a pain to re-arrange all pages that are 3rd click from the homepage. It will takes a very long time to re-arrange the structure.

    Best regards

Do you use canonical? (<link rel="canonical" .../> in the <head>). And if so - is it unique across all pages you expect to be indexed?

Do you have unique content on your site? That could be a reason.
