    If by "software" you mean a WYSIWYG, or any sort of fancy tool that makes code for you -- that is most certainly the road to failure -- they typically do not generate semantic code, even try for separation of presentation from content, and quite often defeat the entire point of using modern technologies like CSS.

    To be brutally frank, most 'fancy' editors are steaming piles that make even bigger prairie pies. If you 'need' anything more than a flat text editor -- ANY flat text editor -- you don't know enough HTML and/or CSS, or you may be using more code than you need to on both.

    Also if you can 'almost write CSS' it may be likely you aren't writing your HTML 'properly' -- as in practicing separation of presentation from content.

    There are so many software that you can use to get a complete web design. Netbean is really good software to do work like this. I personally use this and i think you also should try this. This software is really cool one.

    Honestly, almost any text editor would do the job for just web design. Go with whatever fits your taste, the text editor only starts mattering when you begin working on more complexe web development tasks, rather than just creating HTML, CSS, JS, and PHP-based sites.

    Just on the top of my head:
    Windows: Notepad++ (free), UltraEdit, Sublimetext2.
    Mac: TextWrangler (free), Coda, Espresso.
    Linux: Gedit (free).

    Seconded.

    Notepad vs MS Word. Editors simplify some tasks, but if you can't write an essay, having fancy software won't help a bit.

    Web design software provides an easy and smart way to build a user-friendly web design and templates quickly. There are many service providers on the web who offers you such a service to create a website design and best templates layout. Adobe Dreamweaver and Photoshop CS6 are both widely used by major web designers as both provide creative and user interface. If you want to get more information about the web design tools then visit a below site link : www[dot]soft32[dot]com/windows/web-development/web-design-tools.

    There are many software, but you should take help from experts. Otherwise I would suggest you to create social network site on Wordpress or Drupal, that will be easy and you can easily work on it

    Dreamweaver probably your best option unless you are comfortable simply using raw html.

    But the main point is what will be the best use of your time and will the site rank better using a certain program ?

    Many people tell me wordpress is best for SEO purposes. However most of the high traffic sites I visit ( BBC etc.. ) are not wordpress based.

    There are many software but I will recommend BlueVoda website builder. Other online WYSIWYG Software are Webs.com and Weebly.com.Though Wordpress is best.
