Thank you for your comments. As you mentioned press release it's one of the options we are thinking about. Do you thing prweb it's the best option?
I never had any success from press releases, in todays market its all about content, get an awesome blog made and post to it every day with keyword rich articles, funny, engaging and informative videos and you will get to where you want to be
As a startup , i) you need go with some press release to tell the world that you exist . ii) submit as much directories as you can which related to your field. iii) build brand awareness with social media and youtube and the best is able to go viral with some campaign like FB contest , event or some funny youtube. iv) start collect some subscribers lead for sending email & newsletter purpose v) try checkout whenever your competitor at and try to appear at there as well because there usually is your market .
We need a good female promo model for The Taboo Toy Store.com. This is an new online adult novelty store I'm trying to get off the ground.
You're going in the right direction. Try google adwords too for this. Not as accurate as facebook, but yes, its pretty much helpful.
Yes, you've gotten a lot of great sources here. You can also create youtube videos and email them out to small business owners letting them know the importance of your services and how it will get them dollars.
The suggestions have been great, but I agree press releases should definitely be at the top of your list. It will get you exposure and possible coverage in the media, which would be equivalent to thousands of dollars worth of coverage. On top of that, you will get great authority links from top news sites, giving great credibility to your business. Good luck!
Putting out a press release might help to bring attention to it. There's also social media, banner ads, word-of-mouth, PPC, etc. There are lots of ways to promote your business, some of them may be more lucrative than others though, and also might cost quite a bit more.
I can say one thing with crystal clarity. I had to go to the site and see what it is all about and after going through the pages, I was still confused. A promotion can be anything. Who is your target market? Where does your focus lay? Promotions in what? Where it says: You want to know more? How about linking to a simple video detailing the steps instead- make it easy for the person coming to your site to understand how it works. Think of educating your prospective customers. Tell them what they need to know. Actually social media is a bit overrated at times. It's become too much of an aggressive selling strategy in some cases. A lot of people don't like to be 'sold' something. In some cases it can work and in some cases it may not work. How about pulling up a list of businesses in your area or start targeting a specific niche and simply 'educate' them on some ideas that can help them with promotions. It can be a simple PDF with no more than 5 pages of content or even 3 pages. At the end just explain how your site can help them further. Some established authors in the UK are using these strategies where they offer a free guide or book and when the person signs up, they invite the person along to a seminar or something. The secret here is give something first and you will be surprised how people feel indebted at times and may want to reciprocate. It won't happen all the time, but even from my own experience in designing for friends or complete strangers...they always want to return the favor at some point. It works 60% of the time with me.
how about some e mail campaining and get leads for it. u could try some blog commenting, forum posting, classifields, getting connections on linkedin all the best
Interesting comments, thank you. We try to explain the promos you can create in this page: https://www.hisocial.com/en/plans and we are also preparing a video, but you are probably right that we should be more specific
One of our targets are marketing and social media agencies. Which email marketing provider would you recommend?
There are many sites that would review startups and post it on their blog or website. I think for any startup that should be a natural. After that you can take advantage of social media such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
