    Guys

    I have a question...,

    Q. I know that the link within the website can be deactivated using google webmaster tool. But is there any option to deactivate the backlinks through Webmaster ?

For Example: i posted a classified a month back.. The Ad was removed but the link remained, and now on the page of remaining link it shows that you no data available.. Content Removed.

If I want to deactivate or remove that the link from using my Webmaster Tool... What should I do ?

It doesn't create any problem in SEO perspective. Dont need to worry. Your backlink will be removed when google next update your backlinks.

It has nothing to do with your site and you don't have to worry about that.:) just wait till Google visit your site. I'm sure they will remove that right away.

yes that was in my mind too, but the thing is since Google is going crazy these days, what if it doesn't removes those links, so we would have to manually remove them?

    1 More Question:
And is there any way to remove backlinks that we don't want ? how to remove them ?

    a. do we remove them from the webmaster (if yes, then how?)
    or
    b. we contact the site owners to remove them for us ?

There are always some bad backlinks and Instead of worrying about them, focus on building some good strong natural links through creating amazing content. The stronger your overall backlink profile is, the less likely you will ever find yourself in trouble over a few bad links.

I believe you need to work on increasing number of good links instead of deleting bad links.

I agree that increasing good links is important, but sometimes, there are really bad links, so it is vital to remove them!
