What is robot.text file ?

anybody suggest me deeply what is robot.txt file. and what is it's uses.......

Hi man with robots.txt you can allow or disallow search engines to crow your web site. this is the example for robots.txt You can add your url sitemap.xml in this file.
User-agent: *
Allow: /
Disallow: /admin/
Disallow: /css/
Disallow: /js/
Disallow: /images/
