I have an old laptop that's perfectly good to use and runs smoothly with decent specs. There are a few small issues which make me feel uncomfortable selling it. I'm wondering if any of you have any good ideas as usage (could be cool/nerdy/random ideas) that are free/cheap. Would be awesome if you know any way that I can earn money with it by it just being on (stuff like bitcoin mining, but more profitable)! So pretty much any ideas - hit me! =) Thanks!
I mean, you could always just sell your used computer while telling everyone what is wrong with them. Yeah that's short term but it can help you invest on a website which can provide passive income. Or make it into an art installation and ask for donations. Hey, you wanted crazy ideas.
You can get rid of ur old one. There are a lot of institutions looking for older pcs and laptops at cheaper rates. You may wanna give it a shot.
Just sell it on eBay/CL or you could open it up and sell the parts i.e. (gold) motherboard etc. You could also get inventive and make it into an a decorative piece of art. Or, you could blow it up... (extreme caution) Put some Thermite and watch the fun while sipping on a cold one.
Look for recycling shops around your area. Electronics are delicate and need special handling esp with parts that needs disposing.
Sell it for a good price or give the laptop to your friend who like to buy or Exchange the laptop and buy a new one.
I have an old one too - it was a gift from family so I hesitate to get rid of it. I'm going to use it to install and try out Linux or Ubuntu because I've always been curious about these.
