How Important Social Sharing Nowadays?

Hello SEO Gurus, I hope you are all doing all. Since 19th April (Panda effect I never received penalization message up till now, but traffic started dipping from that day and it never took off since then) I have restricted social sharing, directory submission and sharing only in major sites like FB, Twitter, StumbleUpon,Delicious etc. I do not see much difference apart from a bump in views when I submit a post to these sites. I am more concerned about search traffic which is not improving. Meanwhile, I have built some other back links from EzineArticles, Hubpages etc. Now my questions are-

1. Should I spread single post to say at least 10 bookmarking sites ( I am afraid doing that) that are fresh and I have not done submission before
2. How important is diversity of IP in case of social bookmarking sites? Some people say, it's not too harmful (I am not sure)
3. Should I concentrate on deep linking? How it would be if I link back home page from directories? Most free directories do not offer deep linking, I know that. Will it affect badly if several domains (read directories) link back to my home page with different set of anchors of course?

Finally, Directory submission or social bookmarking, I want to know which one is better for serp from your experience (I know doing both would be ideal)

Please read the post before you make replies. I do not need answers like build more back links, increase post frequency, original content etc .

Social sharing is very important in these days to promote your website traffic as well as increase the Page Rank for website throughout search engine.

 

Of course you want people to share your website content it's a no brainer.

Google ranks pages not websites so if you want to increase the ranking of a specific page then you should focus on deep linking.

Okay, how do you share posts when you write/publish say 10 articles a day that are not long enough articles, news type of posts? What's your thoughts on this?

 

SeoMoz did an interesting analysis that proved that social signals was a huge factor in rankings and that Facebook "likes" and "Shares" seemed to be the most important factors. Do a search for it in Google if you are interested.

 

hubpages and lenses is also a good way of sharing content... 3 or that in a day then ping those would help it index.

Like with any other SEO method, the best is to keep it looking naturally. So no, you dont want to bookmark every single page on your site ... I would say its also good to submit to new bookmarking sites, you never know which one gets picked up by google etc ... I will repeat myself, but it needs to look naturally - so not the same text on all sites, not the same url ...

 

Definitely social sharing is very important. It builds online reputation.

Reputation building is important from all aspects.

 

Google funda is same. Do everything but with unique and fresh contents. Grow back links naturally and do not do over optimization.

It's true. Google want fresh back links along with fresh content. Currently Google loves social bookmarking. I would not be surprised to see a message where they may claim social book,marking is useless or type of spamming.
