Hey, I've been link building for a site (ethically, of course and all "do follow") and after 30 days, Google still doesn't see a single backlink. Site is very new, has 2-3 months of age... How long will this take? What can the cause be? Until now it took a few weeks, now this is frustrating...
This is a difficult question to answer. I have known it to take up to 3 - 6 months for Google to see their backlinks. What you do have to remember is that Google will assess the pagerank of the site which contains your link. The higher the pagerank the more Google will sit up and take notice. Therefore if you have created 25 links on sites that are pagerank '0' or '1' then Google may take quite a while to see it. It is always advisable to create links on sites with atleast a pagerank of '2'
Please tell me, who told you to create links from sites that have at least page rank 2... or where have you read that?

How did you know that google haven't crawled or indexed your backlinks? How do you check the backlinks of your site? If you leave backlinks on aged/well established site and high pr domains, most probably your backlinks will be found faster since google crawls them more quickly/often compared to newer sites/low authority and PR0.

May be you can ping your site for early indexing of your backlinks. You've got to wait for sometime until google gets hold of your backlinks. Alternatively you should check if your links are really do follow or not. Make sure they are do follow and they are of atleast PR1.
The sites you build backlinks on need to be high in page rank and crawled often by Google to recognize them. Also the only true way to see your baclinks with google is to check your webmaster tools dashboard
