What's your end-goal and reason for learning one? Is this for employment, or personal usage, etc.?

I've learned about mySQL. A bit hard to understand. But it all helped with the help of other Navicat software. Please try Navicat.

You can make connections, databases, tables, and others quickly.

Both Oracle and MySQL use the language SQL, so that's what you learn. Oracle has a lot of additions to SQL, so once you learn SQL you learn the things Oracle has added to it.

Learning less is easier so ...

Both MS SQL and Oracle has "express editions" which are somewhat restricted, but free versions that you can try at home. Pick the one you like the most. The salary will depend more on how good you are than the system you pick

If you want to be able to effectively access and manipulate data in either MySQL or Oracle, the you should be looking at learning the SQL language first.

There are many excellent free tutorials out there that can help you achieve that.

The question has no thinking, no research behind it. A couple of you have asked the next best question of what's the ultimate purpose. Yet, there are several other questions he/she needs to answer before being able to answer his/her own question. Another useless topic.

MySQL is a lot easier to learn. Oracle is very powerful with lots of features, although just the installation can be difficult for some users. MySQL on Linux is easy to install and try out. Both use SQL yes, but there are differences. They all have their specific dialects/features.

Oracle is used in bigger, larger scale applications usually. MySQL is very popular in the PHP world.

    Why not consider Postgres too?
