SEO to SEM or PPC

    I am a SEO (Search Engine Optimizer), I want to switch in PPC or SEM. What can I do for this. Can I start this at fresher level....

    Yes, you can. SEM is something which you can learn by practice. Participate in all networks and try to know what is happening in the groups. PPC is really a value added course for any SEO.

    You say you are SEO, then you should probably know what SEM means. SEOs are the ones who do SEM, however if you learn PPC management, it could come handy. You will have to learn the PPC course because its not easy to learn it sitting at home or by trial and error method.

    you right vanquisher everything is essential for the food rank of a site but here you said wrong that SEM is more essential. I learn SEM from ebook and many other sources and also I learn about SMM and SEO and I think that SEO is best and more essential than all.

    You may start at a fresher level but be careful not to pour your cash in a drain. ppc needs you play smart

    SEM is easy to do so you can learn through some practice at home but for PPC you have to join course because it is little bit difficult

    I would say SEM is even more difficult these days with all of Google's updates. I'm having better luck with PPC.

    You can sit the Google Adwords test google.com/adwords/professionals/ it cost my previous company about £50 per test, this is quite good for PPC if you pass you will be certified, for everything else I suggest trial and error it’s the best way.

    SEO is included within SEM, so basically it won't be a major jump to you.
    I recommend you to learn or further develop Google Analytics, Google AdWords skills and also learn PPC techniques with other PPC networks... there are some techniques that make the pay-per-click campaigns more effective.
