3.Shorten your title tag - Why? Just make it less than 70 characters for best practices
4.The order of your title tags - I don't get this
5.Canonical tags - I agree
6.Add deep links - I agree
7.Remove some internal links - Why would you do that?
8.Rewrite anchor text - Doesn't make sense

To add up. Just look at how wikipedia, amazon and other authority sites. Look how they interlink and structure their site. You can get a lot of good onpage optimization from those sites as they've been tested to work overtime. I hope people don't just keep reading ebooks, but by looking at what those successful sites are doing.
