Neil Armstrong, the first man to set foot on the Moon, has died at the age of 82.

    A truly great man gone. So sad though that he saw within his lifetime Americas withdrawal from manned deep space exploration (at least for now) and the cancellation of the shuttle. However his footprints will last forever... :(

    Armstrong's family said, "Honor his example of service, accomplishment and modesty, and the next time you walk outside on a clear night and see the moon smiling down at you, think of Neil Armstrong and give him a wink."

    His footprints are going to last for thousands of years, if not disturbed. ;)

    Anyone remember when America actually used to accomplish anything? I wish I could live in a time like that, well I guess maybe zillionaires will want to go into space just because they can or mine some asteroids for profit. But thanks for giving us all the dream seed Mr. Armstrong!

    Sad, but I think he was quite happy with his life, he managed to be The First man to set foot on the moon. I don't think he could've die thinking, shit I could've done more. RIP Neil Armstrong
