Have you noticed that backlinks in Google only count for your homepage if they actually link to http://www.yourdomain.com but in Yahoo they count even if they link to a subdomain or subpage like http://www.yourdomain.com/your-keyword.html . I just thought it was interesting and if you think that it has any affect on link building strategy.
Yeah, haven't you noticed that the query to get the links in Yahoo is linkdomain: rather than just plain link:? Personally I think it's nice, but I also find it annoying at the same time because sometimes I want to know the links just to a specific page. I think it would be cool if Google added linkdomain: as an allowed operator.
Why doesn't Google show all backlinks anymore? Do they think that SEO's arethe only ones using this feature and it is not worth their time? It seems like it would be since many SEO are trying to drive adsense revenue
Those are good questions which google always seems to dodge. I've just gotten used to checking MSN and Yahoo for my backlinks.
I think it's good that Yahoo! does this, it means that there is still something to gain from those that use Yahoo! as their search engine! I wonder if it is the same with BING?
Yes, that's a good point of difference for Yahoo from Google. This is good indeed and it should be. I don't know why Google does not do that.
Baclinks in Yahoo will be better than the Google so i agree with you. yahoo will count all of your backlinks but not the Google.
I would like to start my own forum one day. This was a really nice forum that you made here. Keep up the success --------------------------- Septorinoplasti
