I'm looking for a bit of help with off page seo. I'm sure others may be having the same problem as well. I'd like to have a few experienced marketers post their top 5 strategies for off page seo

 

1. Social Networking Sites (such as wordpress, squidoo, livejournal, etc)
2. Web 2.0 Profiles
3. Articles
4. Social Bookmarking
5. Social Sites (facebook, twitter, google+, etc)

If you are doing all 5 of those techniques with quality and uniqueness then you should be able to rank much easier.

 

You can also use below techniques for off page seo:
1) Be active on social media sites(SMO)
2) Guest Posting
3) Participate in Forums
4) Bookmarking
5) Try to use contextual link building technique.

These are the top five off page strategies that helps to get search engine visibility.

As far as the Web 2.0 profiles go, is it just creating a bunch of Web 2.0's? or actually building the Web 2.0 profiles around your targeted keyword?

When you say Guest Posting, do you mean blog commenting or an actual blog post on someone else's site?
Can you also explain the contextual link building technique a bit that you are referring to?

If anyone else would like to add to this thread, please feel free. Comments and feedback are greatly appreciated.

 

Top 5 strategies are:

1. Article Submission (on High PR Websites)
2. Social Bookmarking (on Do follow & High PR websites)
3. Forum Posting
4. Blog Posting & Submission
5. SMO (Facebook page, twitter etc)

All these are helpful to get rank in google after all updates and make sure that when you are going to do submission then sites must giving do follow link and having PR.

I'm also agree with undergroundseo but I think SMO is best technique for latest off page in seo

First optimize your site for search Engines, secondly use social bookmarking sites and blog comments, thirdly open the Facebook account. This is more sufficient.

I would recommend taking a much more aggressive strategy.

Press releases, High PR, Wikis, Social Bookmarks ETC

 

Start building Web 2.0 links with unique content & natural links through forums & blog commenting. These only work in latest trends of SEO

 

Guest posting mean, posting Blog post on others article, best way to build links for your website.
Getting internal links in the form of text links (Through Hyper linking Keywords is Contextual Link building.

 

That's what I suggested above: to use Wordpress instedad. Much simplere, and has a ton of plugins.

I don't recommend article submission. I go for guest blogging instead.
