Traffic is not everything. If your adsense layout and colours are crap and it looks awful then all the traffic in the world will make you very little money. I've seen people on here moaning they have 2,00 UV's a day and making less than a dollar.
The other totally crap advice that someone else has said here is that Google will ban you if you get too much traffic. This is balls!!! And it annoys me everytime someone rolls out that line. Normally it's because they've been banned for buying traffic or getting there mates to visit the site and click on ads. If you stick to the adsense program rules and your site complies with the criteria they need it to meet in terms of quality YOU WILL NOT GET BANNED! It is not in their interests to ban you as every click that makes you money makes them money as well, indeed the more legitimate traffic your site gets the more they like it as it makes them money as well (I doubt google would be in business long if they banned every site with too much traffic!) What they do ban people for is trying to defraud their advertisers, which they are duty bound to do. How would you feel if you were an adwords advertiser and had to pay out for 20 clicks from one site that made you no sales and made the guy owning the site several dollars. You'd be pissed off believe me!
Stick to the rules they set out, build fresh content daily and you will hit the $20 a day that you want, it won't happen overnight and that's what the people complaining about getting banned forget. It's a long game, and if you cheat the system you get banned. And they just do it the once to you - for life that is......

 

$20 a day is not a difficult goal to accomplish with Adsense. The recipe is simple: Content + Traffic = Ad Clicks. Seriously...that's all it takes. If you are only making $5/day focus on more keyword rich content and focus on link building and advertising. That's all.

 

one really important prerequisite for making money with Adsense is traffic. you might have an incredibly high CTR but if you don't manage to drive traffic to your site, you won't be making money.

 

You would need to create high quality content on daily/weekly basis and make sure you build strong backlinks for every article/post.

Also, make sure you are inserting highly searched articles as per google searches.

In current scenario, earning $20 is very easy for anyone through adsense. You just have to follow two things, Social Media and High Traffic Yielding Forums. If you are working for these two type after posting useful content on your website, then you can earn more than $20 easily. I've earned $100 a day and even more by only focusing these things. But the thing about which you have to take care is SPAMMING, if you are spamming then you will risk your account.
SEO is something time taking, and you will earn money after spending at least 3-4 months of efforts.

First Focus on publishing quality contents in your blog. Then look for targeted traffic. Only by targeted traffic you can earn much money. 100 targeted traffic is much more important than 1000 un targeted traffic.

 

This is not the best way, if you get traffic from these sites then your account may be banned as Adsense doesn't want referral traffics.

 

Referral traffic? 90% of web site traffic comes from Links. If that's your definition of "referral traffic" then Google would ban every site enrolled in Adsense. Google does not want you to SPAM. There is absolutely nothing wrong with Social media interaction.
