    Oh in india currency... Well the India Web Designer says he'll do $2,000 of work for $50 but never finishes then disappears. And the India Web Developer does $2,000 of work for $300 and leaves you with a web site with broken English and PHP that's vulnerable to SQL injections.. Really that's the main difference...

    With all seriousness now (even though I was serious before) a Web Designer usually only has experience designing web sites. His/Her skill level will range from just using WYSIWYG editors and Photoshop to someone who is well familiar with HTML and CSS. A Web Developer generally has the Design AND also Programming experience. A Web Developer minimally should know HTML, CSS, JavaScript, a server side language (PHP/Perl/ASP/Ruby/Python), and familiar with design patterns and frameworks. A Web Designer in America could make $40k-$60k while a Web Developer will make $55k-$120k.

    web designer create only static page not dynamic page mostly all site have dynamic page. so web designer salary low then web developer but salary depend on knowledge of person many web designer earn more salary then web developer. minimum salary of web developer is 8000rs in small company.in big company(HCL,TCS) 20000rs per moths. and web designer minimum salary is 5000rs in small company and in big company 15000.

    It depends on the design. If the design is important and the designer is an artist, he usually gets paid more.
