well, I think you need to take the advantage of some great program, which can help you create accounts, get traffic easily.

It all depends on your niche the best way to capitalize on twitter is use many accounts and dont post to often on each. After some time you will have thousands of active accounts

honestly I never expected too much visitors from twitter because to much fake accounts on twitter, even you can create a lot of twitter accounts easily with some script, I just put the twitter widget on my site to make it "socialized" for me facebook is better

but try to get real followers

 

There are so many fake twitter suppliers out there, you cant expect to get real results if you pay $5 for 10,000 followers. You need real people to follow you to get any sort of benefit. The amount of traffic you drive from twitter will depend on several things, are your followers active, do they have interest in your site, are you regular in promoting your site on Twitter without spamming, do you show a human side with humor for example, not just business (after all its social platform)?

Twitter is about interaction so interact! Give freebie, discounts or other incentives for people to visit your site.

For my business the re-tweet feature has a huge impact within our online marketing efforts

 

I get quite a bit of traffic off my twitter accounts. The problem I have is, it is not quality traffic. I have one affiliate program that I have had 10,000 hits from twitter with 0 conversions. My other sources average 1.5% to 2%.

 

I didnt get too much traffic from my twitter.

 

For me, twitter has never been that successful. I get much better results from Facebook and Google+ is now coming up on the inside. So Facebook: 1 Google+:2 Twitter: 3. But I think it depends very much on your niche.

 

2 months ago I was only getting 3% traffic from Twitter, Last month, that was up to 10% and this month is looking good too (so far)
LinkedIn provides me with the most, (17.62% last month)

 

I think two many people think there are quick-and-easy ways to make Twitter work. Like a website buy links to get ranked quickly, to get followers buy them.

This is a one way street to wasting money and time. Buying followers may give you an ego-boost every time you see how many people follow you, but these are account purely set-up for the purpose of selling follower packages. The only way to get good genuine traffic is to either follow people yourself who are going to be interested in what you say. And in return you need to be interesting to them.

Randomly following people (and too many people) will no doubt get you blocked by Twitter. Which is fine is it's an account you're happy to throw away, but if it's your brand!

..MMG1865 interesting to see you do well out of LinkedIn traffic. But does it convert well? Assuming you're in a B2B space?

 

Our Twitter account sent around 1000 visitors to our website each day. Traffic depends on the no. of followers and the relevancy. We focused on increasing relevant and targeted followers and we were getting good amount of traffic from twitter.

It converts quite well actually, because most of the groups that I've subscribed to are directly related to the content of my site, and in most cases, the readers sites, the traffic I gets converts and stands up quite well tbh.
Its well worth giving it a try.
