I've heard that Google Page Rank depends upon about 60 to 70 factors...

Can someone guide me as to how can we achieve high Google Page Rank.

It really looks cool to have a high Page Rank.

Most important factor to concentrate on to get a high PR is incoming links to your site. The quality of links is more important than the quantity.

Relevancy of backlinks is also very important for gaining better pageranks. In my findings links from relevant standard quality webpages give you more pr juice than irrelevant same standard quality webpages.

PR is just one factor that Google looks at when they determine your blog’s SERPs and that the day we see an update to our PRs is not the day that Google first determines them and that they change our SERPs

Another important factor that many believe is more important that PR in determining SERPs is backlinks (or how many links from other sites (and even within your own sites) point to your domain.

Another thing about Page Rank is that it could be more important in how powerful a site is with its outbound links.

    Hope it helps

i guess everyone's spelled everything out already... ;)

i just want to add that you should not neglect internal backlinks. try to add links to your homepage from every single page in your website. :)

But I am suspect about incoming links too a certain extent only

I had asub domain site at shangce.50webs.com and I wonder how I gained a page rank of 1

I did not exchange link with any other site I masked my sub domain with co.nr address like this www.freewebspace.co.nr

I exchanged link showing only this site

That is I would link like this

    Reciprocal link:http://shangce.50webs.com/resources.html

and my link on others website www.freewebspace.co.nr

I started it on april 27

and about June I got the page rank for my sub domain

and at next PR update on October I got PR1 for my co.nr domain

I was just wondering how it could be possible

Toolbar PR is 100% determined by backlinks to your site, nothing else.

I see links to both sites you listed.

    sub-domain

Google only shows a small percentage of backlinks, but that doesn't mean they aren't counting the ones that do not show as a "backlink".

Very easy and good way to get high pr is obtain good links from theme base website. You also submit to directories and approve it.

Just because a page has a PR0, it doesn't mean is doesn't have any PR. The toolbar rounds down, so a .49 PR or .99 PR going to show as a zero, yet is will still pass PR. It's possible to have a lot of links from nothing but "toolbar PR0" pages and get a PR3, 4, etc. Toolbar PR is never current, it is always a look at the past. A PR1 is extremely easy to obtain - but you can't have PR without a backlink.

PageRank will drive you crazy. Forget about having high PageRank. Focus on something like content writing and people will link voluntarily to you if you have interesting and unique content. incoming links = PR
