    will it be enough for the search enegine to "like" me?

    Age of domain is only one of many factors that search engine considers for ranking.

    Get the other factors right and you will be well on ranking.

    The most important factor is quality and content of site.

    he is asking whether it is essential to get a long term hosting plan for search engine to rank the site, or a short hosting plan (6 months) would do it.

    Seems to be that it does,
    Then I'll just get the domian for 1 year and the hosting for 6 months.
