What do I do now with My Wordpress based site?

Hi, today I'm here and want some help friends. I hope you all will guide me in the right way.

I just started my wordpress blog in June and yet I'm working on it. I want some best suggestions on how can I improve my site in several search engines. What Plugins should i need to install?

All in one SEO pack is a good plugin, I think. But the best way to climb in the search engines (and stay there) is to make a site that people will want to read. If you have good content and your site is set up in a way that makes people stay on your site (i.e. suggest posts beneath your entry so that people can keep reading about topics that are similar to what they just read), your site will climb naturally because your url will spread all over the place (your site will be worth sharing).

Not trying to walk all over you here, I'm just saying: Dark background and typos makes me wanna leave the site. And your search function - well, I don't know what your site is about so I have no idea what to search for. If I found your site in Google I would leave within 5 seconds unless you caught my attention with your post title or something like that. One thing that is really important is to make it clear right away what your site is all about. Oh and the colors, once again - the site is way to dark. I kid you not, the longer you are able to keep the visitor on the site, the more you will climb in the search engines over time because the site will be worth sharing. And sharing = links, that is kinda good for ranking. The dark colors just doesn't do it for me. An example: How many online newspapers do you know of that uses dark colors on their site? Hardly any. Do they have a lot of readers, and do they come back? Yup. You're not running a newspaper, but you get the point. And people share newspaper links all the time.

Oh, and one last thing for SEO: Use Google's keyword tool and see if you can find any search queries that you can use as post titles, and then write GOOD articles to answer the query.

 

I would recommend WordPress SEO plugin by Yoast. yoast.com/wordpress/seo/

It provides keyword analysis tools, content syndication, Sitemaps and optimizing of your content/title tags/META tags and so on.
It's really a very good plugin.

 

Use seo plugins like headspace2 seo, seo search term tagging, seo smart links to help build SEO of your site.

Also use a sitemap plugin to submit it ot GWT; this helps as well

 

i think you should work at monetizing your blog. you can apply for wordads and basically they will review your site to see if it is suitable to run ads. if yes, then they will share revenue with you.

 

I'd get the KB Robots.txt plugin, make sure you have a Google analytics plugin installed, you might want to try SEO friendly images plugin and SEO friendly links plugin.

Hey why not use Aweber (or any email service) instead of feedburner? You have some great content and can setup a nice autoresponder. Website looks great!

Oh very nice. I use Thesis with Disqus. Used to use thesis commenting system but Disqus has been working nicely.

 

Hi. Try to submit it to search engines. Also, submit your RSS feed into RSS directories. There are plenty of free directories. Create robots.txt file.
I recommend you All in One SEO Pack. It's really great. Also create a sitemap. That will help search engines to have a better understanding of your website.

I'm a fan of All in One SEO too so I'm going to recommend that. I like to use the Sociable plugin to get all those nice buttons to social media sites. I also love the Insights Wordpress plugin. It is a content curation plugin that helps you find relevant sources for your post. I think it's a great plugin for bloggers particularly.

Natural some best, don't expect too much of installed plugin, it will affect the performance of your web site.
