Changing Title Tag

Hi

Looking through one of my sites I realise that some of the pages title tags are a little spammy.

My question is should I change them all in say one day (there are about 50 to do) or do say 1 or 2 a day.

Not sure about this just need to know whats best from the google point of view ie dont want to trigger some penalty.

you had not said about your site. it is in in html OR wordpress?

 

Why do you need to change your title tags frequently?

 

Html site approx 7 years old

 

Well only going to do this once, trying to avoid anything that google may spot in the future.

 

Me personally? If I had 50 pages that were, as you put it, "a little spammy", all fifty title tags would be changed in the next 24 hours. Some posters may feel otherwise. It is perfectly normal to change title tags. I do it often and find it helps the rankings to improve your titles.

 

oh its really hard to change titles with a html website.

 

Changing title tags will effect your google ranking.

 

Thanks Jim will go with your advise. None of the pages in question rank well anyway, they just have a video embedded on. Really just trying to future proof the site and don't want to bring undue attention by changing too many things fast !

Now just need to look at the latest link techniques or should I say how can I obtain quality links these days?

 

It won't affect. Changing for good brings results faster.
