best way to remove paypal limitation?

Discussion in 'PayPal' started by hnhuty, Mar 6, 2008.

i got this written in my paypal resolution centre:
Add a credit card and enter your Expanded Use Number
    Code (markup):
    i got a few questions!

    1. what is expanded use number?

i heard we can use a VCC instead of credit card.
    2. what is a VCC and how can i get one? will there be any problems with the VCC?

thanks a lot for any help :)

When you add a credit card to your PayPal account,PayPal will ask you to verify your account , In the process of verification, They will debit 2 small amount to your credit card, THen They will ask you to check your card statement or call up the issuing bank and check the amount debited to your card account (Example 1.11 1.12 )....

Now these amounts 1.11 or 1.12 are known as Expanded Numbers, You will have to login to your PayPal account and then enter these numbers , Thus making your account Verified

Using VCC to verify a PayPal account is against their TOS, Initially you would be able to use the VCC but once it is detected that you have used a VCC to verify your account,Your account will be limited, I don't suggest you to use a VCC for verifying your account

If you don't have a credit card you can tell them by calling their helpdesk, they'll tell you that they will ignore this option, I'm not sure whether this is true.

Since you are from India, you cannot use your bank account to verify. Basically you will need to add a Bank issued Credit Card to Paypal. Within a few days, you should see a transaction in your credit card statement from Paypal. In the description for that transaction is a 4 digit number which is your Expander Use Program Code. You will need to type this into Paypal to complete the verification process. This is to determine that you are the real owner of the credit card and that you are who you claim you are.

The best way is to definitely use a real credit card and not a fake tool like VCC where the seller does not even have the authority to sell it and you be using his identity to verify you. Which is definitely not the best way.

DP banned VCC sale for one reason and that is because it is deemed illegal.

Yes it would be limited forever until you get a credit card of your own. I am sure it is not that difficult to get one. However, after 180 days, you can withdraw your paypal balance if none of your customers launched a dispute against you but your account will still remain limited.

As far i know UK users need to ADD uk bank first ,
Without adding bank , No cc or even VCC works too
then in which point of view you recommend UK ,
$500 limit is in all others as well , then why go for UK ??

Be careful with VCC. It seems as though they are locking accounts quicker with non AVS vcc and even so they are still locking
