PPC is fast. SEO is more like a long term thing. Also, you need to master SEO before you can really use it to earn money. ;)

PPC by far. Now with Google Panda and Penguin. It's very hard to maintain rankings and not worth the money and time.

It depends on how much you're willing to spend. PPC works, but it's pricey. SEO takes more time, but it doesn't cost you money (just time).

Look at it this way, you can do PPC, however, unless you do SEO on your site to get page rank, after you finish your PPC you will still have a site that is not ranking well!

SEO and getting the free traffic is where it is......you might like to do do some PPC whilst your getting your site ranked for your keywords, but I would never leave out that FREE traffic you can get by not doing SEO

Understanding what the differences and advantages of both traffic sources are you can really decide which is better for your strategy or goals. I typically like to do both. First I do SEO (for the long term ROI), working on it for a couple weeks or months depending on what I am doing. Yes ...SEO is time consuming, but really for the most part once the hard work is done you are pretty much done. ***Caveat*** I still build social media and guest blog to give a boost to my SERP rank from time to time.

When I have my SEO efforts where I want it I start my PPC campaigns. Yes...PPC can cost but its extremely effective and fast. Hopefully, I have captured enough emails during my SEO efforts and converted a few visitors to cover the cost of PPC campaigns. Most times I do.

I test, track and optimize a couple keywords to build my list and move on from there.

I really use PPC as a supplement, with SEO/ organic search results being my main diet.

My personal preference is SEO. But by putting all your ads in one basket you are putting yourself in a very precarious situation. So what you really need to do is generate traffic from as many different sources as possible.

    Advertising
    Affiliates
    Social media
    SEO
    Blogging
    Trade shows

    and so on.

You can support your SEO with ppc links. For example when you make SEO in Google you can buy some sponsored links from Adwords. It's good way to achieve nice results. Offcourse you need to target your niche. PPC is quicker but you need to think in longterm also and SEO is good way to get nice results.

I have found that getting visitors to a new website using PPC is a great way to test landing pages (layout, copy, etc) while you're waiting for your SEO to kick in. Then, when you start ranking organically, your website is ready to convert. And, once you have a website that converts visitors into buyers, both PPC and SEO will make you money.

Your best bet would be to go with seo...this is more difficult but you will see how it pays off in the end. PPC advertisement is costly and well if you dont have any clue on how to do market research you might be throwing your money away instead of investing it on growing your site.

SEO is different in from PPC, although you would perform both to achieve the same end: more traffic for your website. It's not a choice between the two for me, as I do both. I make sure that my sites are all optimized for my target keywords. I build links to my site and do my best to make sure my pages get the highest rankings possible. SEO tasks tend to be boring and tedious. It is frustrating at times as well because it takes a considerable amount of time before you see any results.

PPC on the other is much simpler, and you can see if the campaign is a success or a failure faster. It does cost you extra, so I don't really go into PPC until I see some positive results from my backlinking efforts as well as a few sales.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!
