I know about the new 'DMCA' algorithm change, but over the last few days I have noticed radical changes in website rankings for various keywords, including my own website. They seem to be hopping all over the place. A significant update to Penguin perhaps? Anyone else noticed this?
I have noticed that my site has dropped. I was getting 80 - 100 visitors a day but now i am lucky to get 20. I have done a bit of 'reworking' today, updating some pages etc and hope that it will be back up again soon. I have been dropped from page one to page 5 - 10 for most of my best pages. All content is original and of reasonable quality...... I do hope it isn't permanent, it's the first site i have made which has ever made me money !!... Just keep plugging i suppose.
This is an unpredictable update by Google and every one is facing a similar kind of problem. Fingers crossed and lets see some good results on SERPs soon. Best wishes, vblni
I have also noticed that a lot of my keywords are now getting a bringing up a large number of duplicate results or rather lots of pages from single sites on the front page. Surely google won't want this. Not very good for webmasters or searchers.
total algorithm of google has been changed and mostly sites get dropped from 1st page to 8th,9th, 10th page..... this is the first updation which provide mostly websites negative ranking. I am also suffering from a high dropping.... No idea is dis for few days....or permanent.........waiting for the next updation
The most recent algorithm change was the DMCA update which was rolled out last Friday. Google said this would only affect the top tier sites but I think this will affect all others as Google will shift the ranking here and there. You can check out SEORoundtable for more information. By launching this update Google has made it clear that it will not going to let its name and reputation ruin in anyways, because all the Google's products are unaffected from this new update and the others are suffering already and it is going to be much worse, so my idea is start conidering other search engines too and start using Google's paid services. Trust me I experiencing it through my two websites one is having adwords runing campaign and the other one is not, and the results are .... hmmm you can guess, its obivious that the one having adwords running is getting more traffic than the other one.
My website dillilive.com was get 50-60 visits per day but after this panda update my website visitor are decreased and this is 10-15.

"We will begin taking into account a new signal in our rankings: the number of valid copyright removal notices we receive for any given site. Sites with high numbers of removal notices may appear lower in our results. This ranking change should help users find legitimate, quality sources of content more easily - whether it’s a song previewed on NPR’s music website, a TV show on Hulu or new music streamed from Spotify." I have also noticed that Google is having little follow up updates every 25th day of the month after the big penguin update rolled on April 25.
