I would suggest not to depend on google for your rankings as you need to pay alot for the service just to rank high and before you know google will update with some other furry animal . Instead learn how to do forum marketing,ppc,solo ads,ads swap,joint venture etc.

 

Also, you can do it free with Blogger.

To the OP's premise, yes it works, article marketing can still be effective, very effective for building incoming links and gaining visitors. Some people swear it no longer works well at all, others claim just the opposite. Obviously, I'm with the latter. But like it has always been in article marketing GIGO, garbage in, garbage out. In the past, lots of people could get away with posting and submitting what really amounted to garbage and still gain traffic, sometimes lots of traffic. Sure, those days are now gone forever. But if you're willing to invest in producing quality, relevant information that provides a value returned to your readers, then, Google is your friend and the sky is your only limit. All it takes is time, hard work and self-discipline, or money.

 

this sounds like something to try out if you got the time and patience to sit down and write articles. There is alot of competition with article marketing it just depends on where you go.

Its really nice trick to do but if you buy a website with a general term like electronics and cover all electronics related product in your site with defined categories and a proper URL, I think that would be great and easy step to do with.
Example:
Suppose you have acquired new-electronics-products(Example Site), now you have selected all electronics related products on CB. Create separate page for each product, new-electronics-products/product_number_one
Now add content to this page, promote it using social media, forums and articles.
You will not only get sale but will get good ranking by promoting those pages.

It is little old method but seems it still works. One thing I am sure about this method you can't make 1000$/month through this alone. Honestly i didn't tried I am struck with my few sniper sites.

Article marketing does not work well, but what does work and will continue to is Press Release Marketing. It is completely white hat and it is considered relevant quality content because it is considered real news and search engines absolutely love them. It will spread your links all over the net and they will remain. The trick is making sure your content does not read like a article but has a news angle. An experienced writer can do this for you but once you learn the technique it can be easily duplicated.

 

This method is quite good, I used it for a while, and with a few twists, you can easily earn more thank 1k a month.
