Best Ways to get Free Traffic

Does anyone know the best ways to get traffic without having to buy it? I have limited funds on what I can do and I am in desperate need to start getting certain traffic. I'm currently unemployed right now and things are tough, and I used to do alot of marketing online for affiliate programs and the way I got the traffic has changed, and I can't seem to do much with it anymore, I need help and fast because my house might be going into foreclosure soon

Forum marketing? Everytime I try to post a link in a forum somewhere the admin deletes it and then im banned. Youtube? I dont have any videos to upload. Yahoo answers? Hows that going to benefit my site, they dont allow you to post clickable links to other sites do they?

 

And what is the best way to go about using these services to pull traffic, I just dont understand. As for Press Release, do you have a link to where I should be submitting a press release article?

Well, my site is gambling related so its very difficult to do anything there is millions of sites and portals out there like it, as for SEO, im sure my site could use some serious help, but I have no clue about SEO and everytime I try to get help they want a ton of cash and cant even guarentee anything...

- Article posting. The articles should be optimised for a keyword your site is targeting.
- Blog posting. Start a blog on blogger.com and wordpress.com, link them to your site and submit them to the hundreds of free blog directories. This will get you plenty of quality traffic as long as you keep your blogs updated.
- Forum posting which get millions of visitors a day and if you are a popular user on such a forum, you can use this to get traffic to your site
- Blog commenting on related sites. It's also very beneficial way to get traffic.
- Popular social bookmarking sites. It's another powerful way to get traffic for free. Such as Digg, Delicious, twitter and Facebook.
- Press Release - This one can be very powerful. Submit it to press release sites such as prweb.com.
- Directory submission. such as dmoz.com, in.dir.yahoo.com

I would suggest narrowing it all down more. Think what kind of traffic you need. Is it converted? Is anyone who clicks your link making you money? etc.
Figure out things like that, and then when you see all the suggestions you will have an idea if that source will work. You mentored that you dont have any youtube videos.
Its not good or bad it just means that you have to put that in your mind when you are considering what source of free traffic to take.

I actually found a pretty cool site that lists tons of them that have been submitted to their site, checkout: web-directories.ws/General/Free/?s=D&p=1

 

There are several methods you can use to get traffic, like participating in various forums and blogs within your site's niche. You can also submit to article directories for more backlinks. I found that participating in Yahoo Answers also helps.

It's going to be hard work, but you end up with tons of backlinks as well as traffic in the long run. So it's all worth it.
