I know my charger works because I tried it on another laptop, and I know the problem is the laptop because I tried another HP charger and that didn't work on my laptop.

I only have about an hour of charge left! Rescue me! HELP!!

Have you tried cleaning the charger contact port on the laptop side? There could be dirt there that's blocking the connection.

I wish :-( The laptop is currently in parts on my cousin's living room table. He's taking parts in to check voltages etc, but we can't find the exact problem right away.

I think there is something wrong with the charger why don't you buy a new one before it complicates.

I did test the charger on another computer and the charger works. I also tested another working HP charger on my computer and that did not. I am pretty sure it's not the charger, unfortunately :(

Maybe it's the port where you insert the charger in your laptop

That might be it. Unfortunately I don't really have the time to keep experimenting with it, so I think I'm going to have to just put the thing back together and bring it to microcenter and bite that $70 bullet :-(

We took the thing apart, found nothing wrong, put it back together, and it worked! W/E I think it was the connection between the charger interface and the motherboard.
