It's the domain age, not the directory age. Sadly they try and sell it as directory age. Because that is a dishonest tactic how can you even trust them? They've blown the trust by lying about how old their directory is.

Dropped domain, with PR from the previous incarnation of the site. It's a sad tactic, and this particular vendor has a penchant for including massive amounts of spam in their listings.

I went through one of their directories and 3 times in their business category after they stated they had cleaned out the spam I was able to locate vast amounts of it, in just one category alone. Steer clear of this sort of directory at all costs. It will be harmful to your site.

Bad links do hurt post-penguin, so beware!
