    The simple answer is you need High PR backlinks directing to your website, when you get more High PR link juice for your web pages your PR will increase over time and keep in mind it's not something instant.

    Sometimes better to keep silent but not talk ;) PR is a dynamic and near to instant parameter, but you can see the real value only once a ~4 months (toolbar value).

    When google updates PRs, is it changing gradually for every update or is there a possibility to have PR3 in one update when your website was PR0?

    me too. I jumped up today! from PR0 to Pr3. I was expecting exactly this and it made me happy to have guessed what google would think about my website :)

    How often are Page Ranks updated?

    I am seeing refreshings about 1-2 times a year with our network sites and they seem to go down rather than up. Even rival sites seem to show lower and lower PRs since 2010, 2011.

    Is PR getting obsolete or what?
