Paid Directory Listing - still good to have?

    Hi Guys

Im thinking about paying to be on some directories, Gimpsy, joeant, hot vs not etc

Im just worried its not worth it anymore after the updates? or is it still okay because of the page rank and they are human edited sites?

    any advice?

    Thanks!

Some web directories (quality ones) are still worth their salt. Just submit to a category with good PR.

A link is a link. Link juice from paid directories still work but not as beneficial as once before. Submission to directories is still a part of our SEO link building strategies but no longer a priority.

I don't think it's as useful as before, but yeah, link is a link. As for me, I wouldn't pay for this.

Not 100% sure on the ones you mention, but definitely directories like DMOZ and Yahoo are worth it IMO.

Just stick to the higher PR directories as much as possible and you'll be fine.

Paid Directory Listings still works if they are from quality sites and from High PR pages but for get them it'll cost you very high a good example is yahoo directory which will cost you around $299.

You can get a permanent website review for the price of an annual directory listing. Website review always holds more weightage than directory listing.
