    Hi,

    Most of SEO include sitemap creation in on page optimization.

    Do you think is it of any use?

    I think site can rank well without Sitemap.

    What do you think?

    Please give your opinion.

    sitemap is not about ranking factor, it is all about user purpose and crawler purpose. below are advantages of having a sitemap.
    1. Easy navigation to each and every page for User & Bot
    2. It helps indexing all pages in Search Engines if Sitemap is present
    3. Can easily find broken & orphan pages of your site
    4. You can get internal link juice as well.

    not every website places a physical sitemap.. but most of the websites have sitemap.xml..

    as i said sitemap is not a ranking factor.., there are websites which rank without sitemap too..

    Normally, there are two type of site map- HTML site map and XML site map. HTML site map is normally use for website visitors to analyze your website easily and XML site map is for search engine crawlers to easily find maximum urls from your website in a short time. It is true if you do not have any XML site map at your website, it will be index by crawlers. But it can take more time. So, it is always good to keep site map at your website.

    Yes, you can still rank without using a sitemap, at least, that's what Google said. However, for sites with complex structures, you might want to use one as it helps the robots discover deep links easily.

    Yes you were right site can rank easily without sitemap but sitemap having its own importance. Basicaly there are two type of Sitemap
    1. HTML site map for user
    2. XML site map for crawler

    If you having sitemap in your site then google crawler will easily index all your inner pages and on other side user sitemap helps user to see all links available on website at one page.

    Yes, site map helps a lot for both real users and search engines, it's slimier to a road map for visitors, also there is a place in Google webmaster tools where you have a place to submit your sitemap so don't forget to use it.

    as far as I'm concerned sitemap can also help search engine spiders to crawl and cache all of your pages, links, and images that your website has.

    Hi,
    Site map is not related to keyword ranking or pr status it is just a instructor to crawlers as others said without a sitemap a web page can rank top search results advantages of having site map is more than that of if you want more keywords in inner pages to rank then defintly site map is a must. And to navigate your image folder and inner pages site map is very much useful.

    We create two site map of site.

    1- XML site map
    2- HTML site map
    HTML site map are very helpful to user to get the road map of site.
    XML site map are very helpful to crawl your site by search engine crawler.
