Social+SEO strategies to increase rankings

Social media and SEO go hand in hand these days, and everyday we hear how important it is to incorporate social media into our SEO processes. The question is how?


I've been trying to figure out new ways to incorporate social media in to my SEO strategies so that I can increase my clients rankings. I figured this would be the best place to share some of the strategies I use, as well as ask others what kind of strategies they are engaging in.

Here some methods I use:

- Link blogs to social networks
- Share popular and interesting content with hope if it getting spinned
- Optimize the content within my social network accounts

How are you tying in Social Media into your SEO strategies? Are there certain things that can be done with Social Media to acquire higher search engine rankings? What are some things that you do that are effective?

Entertainment, heath tips, news, etc website gets more visits via social media (likes and follows) business related website means its very hard to get visits......we do SEO for that type of websites..

 

I'm more or less looking for new strategies on incorporating social media into SEO in order to attain higher search rankings, and wanted to see what kinds of strategies you all have been using.

I am trying to build some backlinks & adding social profiles to my new blog

 

On thing that is working good is to get your sites on Pinterest. Great backlinks which don't fall into the penguin bull

 

As far i know, currently Google and other giant search engine appriciate social network links. So as many as you can share, i think the ranking may increase.

 

I think you should share to those who really need your information. Currently I see many trying to make more seoer virtual fan but not effectively bring good.

you can go with like

a)in your website or blog , plugin all social media button by share, tweet , +1 or add in social bookmarking.

b)In your blog comment , you can allow them to link with their social media account to give comment .

c)Ask them to like your social media page and profile to follow up with you , it work like email marketing subscribers which they ask them to follow and update them through post to bring them back .

 

That's an extensive question to answer.


I believe what can help you is not finding a solution how to drive your SEO with social media but rather studying social media engagement practices.


From the webmaster standpoint, you should look into making your clients' sites social media friendly - i.e. check out that there are commenting options and share buttons where appropriate.


Apparently, your clients should have corporate social media accounts and dedicated SM managers not only to talk TO themselves and ABOUT themselves, but to truly engage with community.
