Seems most of my stuff gets flagged. I have even tried using live recordings for some stuff and this gets flagged. I need to monetize this content so am not interested in the stuff provided by youtube, as I undestand it, if I use this I cannot monetize my videos. Lil help looking for sources of music that I can use or any type of suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
You can try doing cover songs or ask artist in youtube that does cover songs to use their covers as background music. You can also try mixing simple beats by using some softwares which are relatively easy to use. You are right, you cannot monetize your videos if you have issues with copyright infringement.
If you record it yourself, than you should be fine. It also depends on the content of your videos maybe that could be why they are getting flagged anyway. Best of luck!
