    Is Blog commenting dead? After updating Google's Penguin what you think about blog commenting..

    It is not dead, just use diverse anchor text variations and you are on the right path to reach #1, of course you have to combine with other link building strategies, as doing only blog commenting will hurt you for sure :)

    I think that blog commenting is not a good tool of link building because plenty of blogs gives no follow tag on our links. So in this respect blog are not beneficial for the website promotion.

    There are two section in blogging one is blog posting and next one is blog commenting and both section have their own importance in internet marketing.

    Yes of course I agree with above most of blogging website provides nofollow tags for commenting links but you find brand visibility and relevant traffic with help of comment posting.

    And also find Yahoo!, Bing and AltaVista search engine ranking with the help of blog commenting because these search engines follow both types of linking nofolow and dofollow.

    No its not dead!

    Blog spamming is dead, and ther eis a difference!

    Make sure to follow these guidelines to comment "panda safe) :

    1. Only comment on quality, related blogs and posts!
    2. Do not comment on posts with already 20+ comments!
    3. Provide real value and advice ni your comment!
    4. Concentrate on 5 -10 blogs in your niche, and comment on a regular basis! (You can exchange these blogs after half an year or something like that!)

    Hope this helps you! I suggest concentrating on cCOmmnetluv /Keywordluv bnlogs to get dofloow links!

    According to me never dead but has been little bit down because of top commentators in the blog's much valuable which has been finished from some bloggers.

    Any of the changes in algorithm does not mean dead of any of the technique. But changes on frequent basis require to make use of the present techniques in more better way. So blog commenting is not dead but just the need is to provide the quality content in your post to get the more better results. And penguin update is all about the well site structure so be focused to that factor also.

    It's not dead no, Spammy blog commenting is dead, and unfortunately it was only a matter of time before Google caught up... Find blogs in your related niche, high PR and low OBL links.. and try and post manually, will well thought comments. This will improve your success rate of the comment being approved. - Usually a good task to outsource to a VA.

    I agree. Penguin was all about combating intentional SEO to artificially drive up rankings. Still, I don't think blog commenting is dead. Like you said, diversity of anchor text is key.
