    Depends on a lot of factors. How relevant is the site you are linking on? Is the PR of the site higher than yours? Is the PAGE of the site linking to you good? Ultimately, if you have a better link profile / PR, it might not be beneficial for a recip link (or at the very least we would say that it is of much greater value for them than it is for you).

    Recoprocal link is a terms used in directory website submission. The benefit of recoprocal link is that your website will be added much quicker to a directory list as you provide a backlink to their directory on your website.

    Reciprocal links in terms of SEO factors have been little weight. You are best off searching out targeted 3 way link exchanges with no footprint.

    Only do it with authoritativeness sites. Google's engine can spot unclean methods for links exchange, especially if it's between lame sites that aren't even relevant to each other.

    When you want to submit your website to directories some of them require you to provide a reciprocal link, they won't charge for this but you need to provide a link on your website that goes to the directory site. I wouldn't recommend you to do that as people might leave your website to go to this/these other site(s). Some directories prefers (obviously) submission requests with reciprocal links and they process the request quicker - that's its benefit. Still i would recommend submitting to directories which are free with NO reciprocal link.Alex

    Reciprocal linking is nothing but the given and take of similar links. It benefits to both of the link exchangers, sometimes the keyword or title we use while linking also ranks from the website we are linked. Reciprocal linking is more beneficial if its dofollow, high page rank and ultimately niche.

    Search engines tend to recognize if you are swapping links with other sites. It's not worth it unless the site you linking with is highly relevant. That might help a little bit more.
