100-400 visitors a day and no clicks on adsense

hi all

i started a blog a few months ago, and i;ve been adding unique and aggregated content on daily basis..

most of my traffic is coming from refferal traffic , like twitter / reddit/ digg..etc

but with around 100-400 visitors a day i am not getting any clicks ( i get maybe 1-2 clicks every 2 weeks , THAT'S ALL)

any ideas what might be the problem

its about religion
I am using wordpress hosted on my server
my banner (adsense ) is a regular widget on the right column
there is a banner in the page of each post as well at the bottom.

Referral traffic never converts as well as SEO traffic. Religious traffic is not stingy per se, but they can be picky or even offended if you monetize religious content.

 

Without seeing the site we can only respond with assumption so:

1. Bad ad placement. Odds are your ads are placed in an isolated location on your web page which users don't notice.

2. Ads don't blend. If your ads don't blend with your web pages scheme they often will look too much like an ad for visitors to notice.

3. Irrelevant traffic. Perhaps the traffic you are driving to your site really aren't looking for something about religion. Traffic from social media can be a WASTE or VALUABLE depending on how important your content is to the visitor.

4. Lack of interesting content. Perhaps your articles aren't interesting enough.

 

change the placement of your ads, i change my ads to 728x90 in the top of the page,it was good for me

 

Yes, try to put banner on the top of the page and also you can try to put into article.

Use adsense channels to track your ads and try different layouts, try ads on top, in content, at the end, to the left, to the right, change colors... you want to try lots of different things, leave each layout up for a week or two so you have a good sampling, then compare all the different layouts to see what works. Takes some time and record keeping, but should be worth it in the end.

 

I'm getting half those visitors and am making $5-7 daily via adsense on my blog. Just Google American Mug and Stein and check my ad placement.

1. bad ads setting/placement
2. General topic with less keyword or the article is not attractive

 

Well add placement is important, it might be a problem. For example usig banner on bottom is useless

 

maybe your tradffic is direct? in this case there are many bots and 0 revenue.

 

Yes ads placement is so much important for any site. They can really boost from none to a lot.

try putting ads on your posts like a big square on the top-left part of your post or a small rectangle at the bottom of your post. I noticed on my site that the most clicked ad placement is below the post. I earn around $30-$40 on my site which gets 3,000-4,000 visitors a day.

 

take more then 200 vist to make anything 3000-5000 if u really wanna make anything

 

First I recommend you focus on content and SEO, it will help you make money from adsense

 

i agree, first the content.

 

Adsense is some bull crap i must say. I had the same problem. Then i moved to addynamo.com when you reach £20 you can get paid. Leave a message next to your ads saying "click me".People click mine because it pays for competitions.
