Very interesting. I have copied your advice to my desktop and i will read it whenever my mind is divert to some other thing when i feel like changing. It happens exactly the same in my case i have many techniques on how to make online but i am no stick with one thing and keep on changing my working method when i see no money driving in. Thanks Ryan for putting all these things forward.
Thanks for the awesome and informative post. So much of this is about getting organized and steering through the clutter. I spent years running around like a chicken with it's head cut off trying to make something stick in IM. The truth is, you really need to focus and believe in yourself. Maybe you would be much further ahead if you would have come to these realizations years ago, but it's all part of the learning experience. I feel you really need to be able to relate to the struggle to reach out to people that are still going through it. I think that deals w/ the discipline too... when you know the downside, you will try that much harder to stay on the upside
It's not about the price, the real question is "If you found a way to make money online, why are you now trying to make money by selling the method to other people instead of following your own advice?" If it's because you think you'll make more money this way, then that's just evidence that the method you're selling isn't very good. It's an important question, and it's one of the problems of the whole make money online industry. The people who are really making big money online are putting all of their efforts into growing that business and they are very rarely the ones who are selling these books. $1,000 is a nice supplemental income, but it is not a lot of money in an absolute sense. It is below the federal minimum wage in the US. In what other industry does anyone making below minimum wage consider themselves qualified to give others advice on making money? It's absurd. My real question is: how much money are you making now? In January 2012 you went from 0 to $1000, but you've said nothing about your earnings since. Are you continuing at the same rate? Making more now? Or making less? The way this all reads to me is that just as soon as you made enough to call yourself a success, you abandoned whatever income stream you had in order to make money off of selling other other people the hope of making money. One month is not stable earnings. You had no idea if you're even going to make $1000 again the next month and instead of trying to grow that business and ensure that that revenue grows, you're off writing an ebook. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how it reads.
Like you said this is a business forum and his selling something. What’s wrong with that? The fact that this is a forum site means you can share your ideas, thoughts and stories. You’re making so big of a deal. I like the thought of the message and most people (open-minded) do.
Should I do this? Absolutely! Sometimes multitasking is taking a toll on me. I always want to learn things as quick as possible and like your story I end up messed up. Thanks for the effort posting this, I really should do this as well!
Thanks ninja turtle! I was in a similar case 2~3 months ago. i think one of the important advice can give to internet marketer is : "stop dreaming, take action"
Very good post. "He, who will master respect and self-discipline will be the master of the world." - this is a summary of your post +1 rep also.
