    Hey,

Make each description UNIQUE, this is better for your website and looks natural in googles eyes.

You can use rel="canonical" to resolve the duplicate content

Yeah I would suggest using rel="canonical" tag immediately to solve that problem! Or even look into using a JQuery photo gallery plugin.

Bottom line, in Google's eyes that is duplicate content posted several times.

It is advisable to make different description on each page. Google's robot not read images so, put alt tag on each image also.

Right .. put in there canonical tag on every page. The meta keys and description must be different also and it must connect with the contents on the page.

Duplicate content generally refers to substantive blocks of content within or across domains that either completely match other content or are appreciably similar. Mostly, this is not deceptive in origin. Examples of non-malicious duplicate content could include:

    • Discussion forums that can generate both regular and stripped-down pages targeted at mobile devices
    • Store items shown or linked via multiple distinct URLs
    • Printer-only versions of web pages

What about those funny and humorous pictures which are widely distributed on web. Many of the sites post them on their websites.. yet those pics are duplicate yet those sites are good ranked and get good number of daily visitors.

Duplicity of content is non negligible in the eyes of Google. If you want to stay on top you have to be good with content. Your content should be unique and of good quality.

You can use "nofollow" or rel="canonical" tag to avoid Google penalization.

Anything you do online should be unique. You will run into far less problems this way, no matter what you are doing.

Unique content is better for your website but if your description is same for every image then try to change it.
