I have a simple question ..... which of the two domains listed below would be best suited for good SEO ?? pleasehelp.com OR please-help.com All feedback is welcome - please note i do not own these domains, they are just used as an example !
Domain without- would be better in your case the first one would work better. Dont make domains with- and try to shorten domain as possible.
Definitely the first one. Hyphens have been proven to lower authority a little bit. Plus it is harder to remember.
Take up a domain which might be having a keywords of your business or whatever.. If you want you can also go for dudehelp.org or dudehelp.net if its an informative site If you want to rank high check for a C-class IP your domain would surely get good ranking.
just try to make your domain name as common/easy as you possibly can. on another note, if you're trying to start an easy SEO/niche website my buddy bought his from this site called inubu.com he said they're really good and easy to work with and will even install your website for you. hope it helps

Domains without hyphens or any other special character are always better with SEO and User point of view.
I have seen a lot of websites ranking without the exact keyword on domain. Could be a brandable domain or related to your keyword that could cover a broad range of topics in a niche. Choose those domains and try to make a lot of helpful articles with their keywords, once your site is well established and have good quality backlinks, it is easy to rank posts just by proper inner links and few backlinks. Those type of sites are tested and sticks after a lot of updates from google. This is the path we should take, in my opinion.
