    Hey guys/girls

just wondering where i should advertise my game?

also any advice you have would be awesome aswell. :)

my game is a Mafia style browser based game, i have reset the site after adding a couple new pages as everyone went inactive and no new players have joined since. :(

try 4chan and facebook. There are a lot of bored kids who will jump right on your game. :D

Text based browser game? You could try advertising it in 2002 when such games were a hit...
With all seriousness now, FaceBook & MySpace are your best avenues. But with mega games like Mafia Wars and all of the advanced Flash Games it's going to be rather difficult to launch. You have big competition. It's like opening a convenience store next to 711 or a small ma and pop shop next to Walmart.
