how much to charge for a SEO service for a company?

    Hi friends,

All these days I have been an internet enthusiast and been doing SEO only for my website. Recently, after seeing my sites doing really well, I was offered to do a SEO service for a company.

How much do you think I should charge them? A little background, the company is into healthcare services, so one can imagine the keywords.

I would say start with a low price or equivalent to market price & then based on your client's base increase your fee :)

It depends on how many pages of the campaign you'd be doing.

Generally it's $100 per page on a monthly basis.

You can charge based on keywords... Per keyword you can set X amount!! but SEO is something which hardly give results in a month so doing this monthly will not help your customer to see result..

You can charge as per keywords, if keywords are low in competition and with low searches then you can charge low.

I think, it is depend how much work you have to do for website like it is already optimized(on page and off page) or you have to start and they going to pay in which currency, do some research in google and keep in mind do not demand too much.

If they are serious, they should pay serious money. On the other hand, it could be a stepping board for more clientele, so charging a steep fee is undesirable.

Its totally depend upon keywords . How many keywords they want to be get optimized for a particular website . You can also check whether you have to do on page or off page for website if you have to do both then you can charge high else less. Its beneficial if you do both on page and off page for the website because both work simultaneously. Both depends upon each other.

You can charge per hour or charge a fixed price. You can browse sites like ELance and oDesk and see what the existing rates are for healthcare and other niches and price yourself accordingly.

Hello, In my view the price for the SEO or any freelance project depends upon the mutual understanding of customer and company. Things like experiance, exposure and results of SEO work might be the key factors in deciding the price here. In short you can start charging accrding to the market rate as new SEO company. Thanks.

Everybody says right. It totally depends on the Keyword searching range. If any person choose a keyword that has less searches then you will charge less amount for that keyword and if any person choose a keyword that has high searches then you can charge high price.

    SEO is all about keywords.
Not only that, it's also about ranking. So you've got a few parameters to choose from:
    1. keywords
    2. search engine ranking
    3. no of keywords + search engine ranking
    4. duration of service

Include all these while offering your service.
    All the best.
    Ravi
